There's a shift that happens every year around this time. The air dries out, the schedule fills up, and suddenly it's December and the appointments you meant to book in October are gone. This year we wanted to get ahead of it — so Adalie and Andi sat down to talk through what fall skin actually needs, how to time injectables before the holidays, and why booking now is the single best thing you can do for your sanity this season.
From Adalie — what fall does to your skin
Fall is the season your skin forgets how to regulate. The humidity drops, the heat turns on indoors, and the barrier you built all summer starts to feel tight, dull, and a little reactive. The clients who glide into winter with calm, glowing skin are almost never doing anything extreme — they're just adjusting their routine before the damage sets in.
My first recommendation is almost always the same: bring the hydration back up. A richer moisturizer, a hydrating serum layered under it, and a gentle cleanser that doesn't strip the barrier. If you've been using a strong active all summer, this is often the moment to pull back slightly rather than push harder. Skin that's already stressed from the weather doesn't need more stress from your products.
The treatments that matter most right now
Fall is also the ideal window for the treatments that build skin over time rather than deliver a single glow. Microneedling, chemical peels, and a consistent facial cadence all do their best work when the sun is lower and the skin isn't fighting UV exposure on top of everything else. If you've been putting off a series, this is the season to start it — the results land right as we head into the holidays.
- Swap to a more hydrating moisturizer and gentle cleanser
- Pull back on strong actives if your barrier feels reactive
- Start a microneedling or peel series now — results land by the holidays
- Keep your monthly facial cadence; consistency compounds
- Never skip SPF, even when it's overcast
Fall skin doesn't need more intensity. It needs more consistency and a little more hydration.
From Andi — timing injectables before the holidays
If you want to look refreshed for the holidays, the planning matters more than the product. Neuromodulators like Dysport take several days to settle and fully refine over about two weeks. Dermal filler shows immediately but continues to soften and integrate. Biostimulators like Sculptra build gradually over a series of months. None of these are last-minute treatments — and the holidays are never the time to rush them.
My rule of thumb: if you have a holiday event, a photoshoot, or family photos coming up, book your injectable appointment three to four weeks ahead. That gives everything time to settle, lets us assess how you're responding, and leaves room for a small adjustment if you want one — without doing it the week of. The clients who look the most natural in their holiday photos are the ones who planned in October and November, not December.
And please — don't try something brand new the week of an event. A product your skin has never met, a treatment you've never had. The risk is never worth it when there's a date on the calendar. Stick with what we've already built together, and if you want to introduce something new, we'll time it so it lands well before the moment matters.
Natural holiday results come from October planning, not December rushing.
Why our calendar is already filling up
Here's the part we really want you to hear: our schedule for the rest of the year is already filling up. Between holiday events, parties, family photos, and everyone wanting to look their best before the season hits, November and December book fast — faster every year. We would rather you secure your appointments now than try to squeeze in last minute and be disappointed.
Think of it as one less thing on your list. Booking your skin and injectable appointments now means you won't have to think about it again — you'll just show up, feel taken care of, and walk into the holidays already ready. That's the whole point. We want this to be the last of your worries, not another thing to manage in an already full season.
Let's get your holiday appointments on the calendar before they're gone.
A simple plan for the season
If you're not sure where to start, that's exactly what a consultation is for. Adalie can read your skin and adjust your fall routine and treatment cadence. Andi can review your injectable plan and time it so everything settles well before your events. Together we'll build a simple, realistic plan for the next few months — and then you can stop thinking about it.
Because the best holiday gift to yourself isn't a last-minute appointment. It's walking into the season already feeling like yourself.
