What to expect from your first HydraFacial

The HydraFacial is one of the most requested treatments at RAISED, and for good reason — it is gentle, immediately satisfying, and requires no downtime. If you have never had one, here is an honest walkthrough of what the experience is actually like.

Before you arrive

Come with clean skin if you can, though it is not required. Avoid retinoids or active exfoliants for a few days prior if your skin tends to be sensitive. If you are booking for a specific event, we recommend the treatment a day or two before rather than the morning of — the glow settles beautifully overnight.

The treatment, step by step

A HydraFacial works in a continuous sequence across the same handpiece, which is part of what makes it so efficient:

• Cleanse and resurface — a gentle acid peel loosens dead skin and debris
• Extract — painless vortex suction clears congested pores without squeezing
• Hydrate and protect — antioxidant-rich serum is infused into freshly prepped skin

Throughout, the sensation is cool and wet rather than abrasive. Most clients describe it as relaxing, and many fall asleep. There is no peeling, no flaking, and no recovery window.

Immediately after

Skin typically looks clearer, smoother, and more luminous right away — which is why this is one of the few treatments we are comfortable doing before a wedding or a photoshoot. You can return to your day, apply makeup if you wish, and go about your evening.

How often to return

For maintenance, most clients do well on a monthly cadence. For congestion or dullness, we may recommend a short series closer together, then settle into a rhythm. It pairs beautifully with microneedling or a chemical peel on alternating visits.

The HydraFacial is the rare treatment that feels like pampering and does actual clinical work at the same time.

Is it right for you

It suits nearly every skin type, including sensitive and acne-prone skin. The only common exceptions are active sunburn, open wounds, or certain active prescriptions — which we will screen for during consultation.
